The Yellowstone Chocolate Company

In 2022, Bozeman based artist, Rod Zullo, started transforming his 2D sculptures into chocolate molds. He then began selling them at the Bozeman Farmers Market and saw early traction in the chocolate industry.

While the Farmers Market was a fantastic start to the business, Rod always knew his creations could impact more people than just Bozeman. In 2025, Rod came to showcase his products and business to LaunchCats Innovation Club at Montana State. Sam Switzer happened to be a part of the club as its focus is centered around entrepreneurship. Sam, a sophomore in college, had previous entrepreneurship experience stemming from a golf cart restoration company to a highly rated window cleaning company in Colorado.

Sam saw the vision of Yellowstone Chocolate Company and bought shares of the company from Rod, being appointed CEO. Our team consists of Sam, Rod, Lucas Horvath (COO) and Rett Longmore (Graphic Designer). Together, we are scaling Yellowstone Chocolate Company to many retail locations across the United States. Together, we are providing more than chocolate; we are providing art you can taste, inspired by the American West.
